Colee Hammock

A true slice of “Old” Florida just steps away from Downtown, Colee Hammock is a calm oasis amid the bustling heart of Fort Lauderdale. Offering a real estate mix that includes single-family homes, restored historical buildings, townhomes and condominiums, this neighborhood is one of the city’s oldest. The eclectic architecture of this special neighborhood represents a variety of architectural styles, including Ranch, Art Deco and  Mediterranean Revival.

Named for James Louis Colee, an engineer, and the hammock-like trees adorning the neighborhood, Colee Hammock’s historical status can be seen in its architecture, particularly landmarks such as the Riverside Hotel, the Floridian and Stranahan House. Just steps away from Las Olas Boulevard and about a mile-and-a-half from the Atlantic, Colee Hammock is perfectly situated south of East Broward Boulevard, north of the New River Waterway, east of US1 and west of the Las Olas Isles. Colee Hammock is also conveniently located near Fort Lauderdale Beach and Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport.
