Be a part of history in the longest continually occupied neighborhood in the Miami area. First settled in 1825, Coconut Grove has a rich cultural tradition that can’t be denied. Residents celebrate the neighborhood’s heritage yearly with events like the Coconut Grove Arts Festival, The Great Taste of Food and Wine Festival and the Goombay Festival, celebrating the Bahamian culture. The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, as well as two open-air malls and various open-air cafes, make Coconut Grove a great place to walk and bike.
Coconut Grove’s location on Biscayne Bay created opportunities to construct a variety of dramatic waterfront properties. Boating enthusiasts will appreciate the many marinas and boating clubs, from the Coconut Sailing Club to the Coral Reef Yacht Club. Nearby West Islands Park is an ideal setting for an afternoon picnic by the sea or you could spend the day exploring the formal Vizcaya Gardens. There’s lots to do and plenty to see in Coconut Grove, all just outside your front door.
